V-MESH WITH ADVERTISEMENT SHEETING
Fence-Lok was commissioned by Morgan Sindall to deliver a secure and durable V-mesh fencing system for the Northumberland Rail Line project. The requirement included the installation of V-mesh fencing integrated with advertisement sheeting to meet both security and promotional objectives. Our team provided end-to-end technical and practical support, ensuring the project adhered to all safety and performance standards while meeting the client’s timeline and specifications.
Morgan Sindall approached Fence-Lok to address the stability issues of rigid V-mesh fencing used for the Northumberland Rail Line project. The fencing, which displayed advertising netting, faced significant wind load challenges due to its coastal location just 1 km from the North East shoreline.
Existing temporary fencing solutions lacked the necessary stability to support the design load, compromising safety. Positioned alongside a high-footfall pavement and a busy road, the fencing’s stability and security were critical to ensuring public safety, preventing unauthorized access, and maintaining a secure perimeter for site operations.
Fence-Lok provided the project with its Rigid VMesh-Ankor system, delivering a sustainable, reliable, and wind-load-compliant solution tailored to the site’s unique challenges. Our first step was to investigate the ground conditions with a temporary works package which involved site visit with anchor load testing with a detailed digital report. This data was used in our temporary works design when confirming its suitability with site factors considered. .
Our experienced team delivered a comprehensive supply and installation service, utilising advanced tools such as handheld battery-powered impact wrenches to ensure precision, efficiency, and safety during the installation process. This approach allowed for quick and secure anchoring of the fencing system while minimising disruption to the site and surrounding areas.
